Curly hair comes in the form of big loose, very defined curls. Curly hair can be fine, medium-texture or coarse. It twists as it grows and the number of twists affects how curly your hair looks. The more twists = the more curls. The number one problem of having curls is frizz and dryness.

Kinky hair like curly hair consists of well defined loose curls that resemble miniature springs. With each individual fiber having its own curl pattern. Kinky Curly hair can be fine, medium-textured or coarse. Very voluminous with tight ringlets that look like corkscrews. This hair is a cross between curly hair and kinky coily hair.

Kinky Coily hair is the most delicate of all curly hair textures. This hair type requires a lot of moisture and TLC. Coily hair can appear thick and coarse, wiry to fine-textured, kinky to very tightly coiled or zig zag. Coily hair has fewer cuticle layers than other curl types which makes it more susceptible to dryness, damage from manipulation and breakage.
